Man dies after car crashes on M60

A man in Manchester has died after the car he was travelling in went out of control and overturned on the M60.

The victim, in his 20s, was taken to hospital but died on arrival. Officers had found the Ford Focus on its roof near Didsbury at 0520 BST on Saturday.

Police believe it had collided with a Mini Cooper. Two women, who were in the Mini, have been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

A police spokesman said it was unclear which woman was behind the wheel.

The driver of the Ford Focus is in hospital with a fractured shoulder. Another passenger, a woman in her 20s, suffered a suspected broken leg.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The M60, between junctions five and three, remains closed.
