Trio charged in woman's shooting

Three men have been charged with firearms offences after an 18-year-old woman who was shot in the eye in Greater Manchester died.

Rachel Davies was shot in Oram Street, Bury, on 7 December. She died from her injuries in hospital two weeks later.

Stephen Hodgson, 28, David Peter McKeon, 27 and Clint Kirkham, 28, have been charged with possession of a firearm without a certificate.

The trio, all from Bury, will appear before magistrates on 18 February.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released without charge.

Miss Davies had a 14-year-old sister and a 10-year-old brother.

After her death Miss Davies' parents Ricky and Angela described their daughter as a "beautiful and caring, fun-loving teenager".
