A mother-of-two has appeared in court in Manchester charged with murdering her children.

Romario Mullings-Sewell, aged two, and his three-month-old brother, Delayno, were found dead at their home in Cheetham Hill last month.

Their mother Jael Mullings, 21, is detained under the Mental Health Act and appeared via video link at Manchester Crown Court.

Ms Mullings was given bail on condition she stays at a mental health unit.

The case was adjourned until a plea and case management hearing at Manchester Crown Court on 16 March.

Police found the boy's bodies at the property at Kilmington Drive following reports of concern for the children's welfare.

They both died from a single stab wound.
