Man arrested over stabbing murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was stabbed to death in Greater Manchester.

Police were called to a house on Warrington Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, on Friday night and found a 26-year-old woman had collapsed.

She was taken by ambulance to Tameside General Hospital where she later died. A 26-year-old man was arrested and is being questioned by police.

Police said it is believed to be a domestic incident.
