Man dies after multiple stabbing

Three men were stabbed in the incident

One man has died and two others have been injured after being stabbed in Greater Manchester.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Bolton Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, near Wigan, in the early hours.

They found three men with stab wounds and a woman with cuts to her hand. All three men were taken to hospital, where one of them later died.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He remains in Greater Manchester Police custody for questioning.

Detectives want anyone with information about the attack, which happened at about 0145 GMT, to contact them.
