Woman charged with terror offence

Police
The charge relates to the possession of a computer memory stick

A 40-year-old woman arrested after searches of addresses in Manchester and the Netherlands has been charged under the Terrorism Act, police have said.

Houria Chahed Chentouf, from Longsight, Manchester, is accused of having a computer memory stick for terror-related purposes.

The charge alleges the possession was linked to the "commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism".

Ms Chentouf is due before City of Westminster magistrates on Saturday.

She has been held in custody since being arrested on the evening of 17 October by Greater Manchester Police.

Officers said the Dutch authorities were also involved in the inquiry.
