Naked man charged with burglary

A man found naked trapped in the chimney of a supermarket in Wigan has been charged with burglary.

Police officers discovered the 20-year-old trapped in a chimney breast of a Tesco Express store on Ormskirk Road, Pemberton, in the early hours.

Firefighters were called to rescue the man who had become trapped and had lost his clothes as he tried to get out.

The man, from the Pemberton area, is due before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
