Four bailed over fatal shooting

Mohammed Iqbal died in hospital

Four men have been released on bail after a man was fatally shot as he sat in his car in Manchester.

Mohammed Arif Iqbal, 26, of Springfield Gardens, Crumpsall, was in a car on Huxley Avenue, Crumpsall with four others on New Year's Eve he was shot.

The men, all arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, were released on bail until 20 November.

Mr Iqbal died in hospital. A post-mortem examination revealed that he died from a single bullet wound.

Those arrested were a two Salford men aged 32 and 18, a 26-year-old man from Whitefield and a 45-year-old man from Bolton.
