Men arrested over fatal shooting

Four people have been arrested over the killing of a man in Manchester.

Mohammed Arif Iqbal, 26, of Springfield Gardens, Crumpsall, was shot as he sat in a car on Huxley Avenue, Crumpsall, on New Year's Eve. He died in hospital.

Two Salford men aged 32 and 18, a 26-year-old man from Whitefield and a 45-year-old man from Bolton have been arrested in connection with his death.

They were all arrested on suspicion of murder as well as on suspicion of attempted murder.

Mr Iqbal was one of four men who were sitting in the car when the shooting happened. A post mortem examination revealed that he died from a single gunshot wound.
