Arrest after body found in house

A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a woman whose body was found at a house in south Manchester.

Officers were called to the house in Charlton Road, Levenshulme on Friday afternoon after concern was raised about the person who lives there.

Police broke into the house after getting no reply and found the body.

A 35-year-old man, from Levenshulme, is being questioned by detectives. Some roads around the scene remain closed while officers continue inquiries.
