Conor Black was stabbed in the shoulder
A 16-year-old boy has denied murdering a teenager who was stabbed after attending a party in Manchester.
Conor Black, 16, was stabbed in the shoulder in Moston Lane, Harpurhey, in the early hours of Saturday morning. He died on the way to hospital.
A youth, who cannot be named, appeared before Manchester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with killing Conor, who lived on the Lightbowne estate.
He was remanded in custody and is due to re-appear on 16 September.
He will appear via videolink and a formal plea will be entered before he will be committed to Manchester Crown Court.
The magistrates were told that Conor, a joinery student, was allegedly struck on the head with a can before the stabbing.
The youth's solicitor, Mr Simon Harrison, said his client "denies the extremely grave crime".
