Masked robbers threaten pub staff

Hare and Hounds pub

Four masked men threatened customers and staff during a robbery at a pub in Greater Manchester.

The gang went into the Hare and Hounds on Wood Lane in Timperley on Friday night armed with knives and hammers.

They ordered everyone to get on the floor before stealing cash from the office and escaping in a silver car, which was parked outside.

No-one was hurt in the incident but police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

One of the men is black, about 6ft (1.8m) and slim.

He was wearing a black jacket with a pouch pocket at the front, black tracksuit bottoms and wore a black balaclava covering his face.

The second offender is white, and of similar build to the first man.

He too was wearing dark clothing and a balaclava - as were the other two offenders.
