Man charged with teenager murder

A 25-year-old man has been charged with murdering a teenage mother-of-two in Greater Manchester.

Stephanie Flanagan, 19, was found dead at Windermere Road in Hyde on Monday night following reports of an assault.

A 25-year-old man from Hyde has been charged with killing Ms Flanagan and is due before Tameside magistrates.

Tests showed Ms Flanagan died from a serious head injury. Her family said that she was "a lively, bubbly and very loving teenager".

"We have no words to express our grief at this time and cannot even begin to understand what has happened," they added.
