Men charged over Salford attacks

Two men have been charged with violent disorder after a man and teenager were attacked in Salford at the weekend.

A man was slashed across the back in a disturbance in Winifred Street, Winton, at about 0100 BST on Saturday.

About an hour later, a 17-year-old boy was attacked in Athol Street, Winton, and was left with a stab wound to his stomach and thigh.

Two men, aged 31 and 18, have since been charged in connection with the incidents.

Anyone with any information about the assaults is asked to contact Greater Manchester Police.
