Two people have been arrested over the stabbing of a 22-year-old waiter in Greater Manchester.

The victim suffered a punctured lung after being stabbed in the chest as he chased a gang of up to a dozen youths from outside a restaurant in Farnworth.

He remains in hospital in a poorly but stable condition following the attack on Friday night.

A 25-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy are being questioned on suspicion of wounding with intent.
