Inquiry as church wrecked by fire
An investigation is under way into the cause of a fire which has destroyed a church in Greater Manchester.

Firefighters were called to Bridgefield Street Independent Methodist Church in Radcliffe early on Thursday.

Part of the building collapsed as crews tackled the blaze, and it is now likely to be demolished.

A group of youths were seen running away from the area at the time and Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses.

A joint investigation into the cause of the fire is now being conducted by police and the fire service.
