Man dies days after hit-and-run
An 87-year-old man has died days after he was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Greater Manchester.

Joseph McNamara was walking on Lowercroft Road in Bury on 11 December when he was hit by a red Nissan Micra.

He was taken to Fairfield hospital with a serious head injury and internal injuries but he died on Wednesday.

The 76-year-old female driver of the red car was interviewed under caution but has since been released. Any witnesses are urged to contact police.

Officers particularly want to speak to the driver of a silver vehicle, which may have been travelling behind the car involved in the collision and may have stopped briefly at the scene.
