Blaze at derelict hospital site
More than 40 firefighters have been tackling a "huge" fire in Greater Manchester through the night.

Emergency services were called to a derelict three-storey building at the former Birch Hill Hospital site.

Seven fire engines from across Rochdale, Heywood, Chadderton and Littleborough were involved in fighting the blaze.

The firefighters are expected to remain at the site until later to dampen down and to make sure the building is safe.
