Union votes to strike over nurse
Karen Reissman
Unison says Karen Reissmann is being "targeted" by bosses
Health workers in Manchester have voted in support of a strike over the suspension of a psychiatric nurse.

Karen Reissmann, also a union shop steward, was suspended for allegedly bringing the Manchester Mental Health & Social Care Trust into disrepute.

More than 87% of her colleagues voted to support the walk-out, which is likely to start at the end of August.

Unison claims she is being targeted because she is a shop steward and has spoken out against cuts in services.
