Armed robbers target bank staff

Police are hunting three men who robbed a bank in Greater Manchester armed with a shotgun and two baseball bats.

The trio struck at the National Westminster Bank on Finney Lane, Stockport, at 1230 BST on Monday.

They threatened staff and stole a quantity of cash before making off in a red Honda Civic towards Wythenshawe.

The car was abandoned a short time later on Calve Croft Road. No-one was injured in the raid but police are appealing for witnesses.
