A man killed in a drive-by shooting in Manchester city centre has been formally identified by police.

Ucal Chin, 24, of Frobisher Close in Chorlton-on-Medlock was driving a red Renault Megane along Anson Road when shots were fired into the car.

Mr Chin was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead. His 21-year-old passenger suffered a gunshot wound to his hand.

Police have found a third man from the car who left the scene of the shooting.

The incident happened at 1850 BST on Friday.

Officers are continuing to appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of a light-coloured, possibly silver, saloon car which police believe carried the attackers.
