Motorist dies in motorway crash
A 59-year-old man from Liverpool has died following a collision between a car and an articulated lorry on the M6 in Cheshire.

The man, who has not been named, was driving a Vauxhall Astra estate when it was involved in a collision on the northbound carriage near junction 19.

Despite medical treatment the motorist died at the scene, just south of Knutsford service station.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash which happened at 0012 BST.
