Police have released telephone clips of a conversation that led to an 89-year-old woman being conned out of more than 100,000.

Officers want to speak to three men about the theft - Patrick McDonagh, 35, Miley Quinn, 25, and Kevin Laney, 36.

A series of calls were made to the woman, between August 2005 and April 2006, but police were only alerted by concerned bank staff.

Detectives said the men have links with the travelling community.

Patrick McDonagh has also used the name Paul Anthony Kelly, according to Greater Manchester Police.

Detectives believe he had a house in the Levenshulme area of Manchester and has connections with the Rugby area in Warwickshire.

McDonagh is described as having thick short brown hair and is 5ft 9ins (1.75m) tall of medium to stocky build.

The second man, Miley Quinn, has links with the Warrington, Stoke-on-Trent and Rugby areas.

Police say he is stocky, about 5ft 11ins (1.80m) tall.

The third man, Kevin Charles Laney, was last thought to live in St Leonard's Crescent, St Albans, Hertfordshire. He is described as having brown sandy-coloured receding hair.

All three men are believed to have links with the travelling community and could be anywhere in the UK, police said.
