Two men have been stabbed with a screwdriver-type weapon by a cyclist, Greater Manchester Police said.
The men, aged 33 and 30, were on Barlow Moor Road, Chorlton, when the cyclist confronted them and shouted at one of the men.
The second man tried to calm the situation but the cyclist stabbed them both in the stomach, arm and chest.
Both victims needed hospital treatment but were not seriously injured by the man who was riding a mountain bike.
The offender was described as black, about 5ft 10in (1.70m) tall, with short cropped hair and dark coloured clothing.
He had cycled off in the direction of Wilbraham Road when the victims realised they had been stabbed with what is believed to have been a screwdriver-type weapon, police said.
