JJB workers to stage third strike
JJB Stores
JJB Sports has more than 400 shops in the UK
Workers at sports retailer JJB are to stage a third 24-hour strike in a dispute over pay and conditions.

The GMB said hundreds of its members at the firm's warehouse in Wigan, Greater Manchester, would walk out on Thursday, following two days of action last week.

The union is also planning to stage demonstrations outside JJB stores at the weekend.

Union negotiators are seeking a higher basic rate for staff and are calling for equal access to a bonus scheme.

The company has about 430 shops in the UK and its executive director is David Whelan, owner of Wigan Athletic and its ground, the JJB stadium.
