A teenage girl died and five people were injured when their car hit a kerb and crashed into a wall in Manchester.
Cerise Fletchman, 15, was a passenger in a Subaru Impreza that crashed in Kirkmanshulme Lane, Belle Vue, in the early hours of Wednesday.
Five other people, including the driver, suffered a range of injuries, some serious, in the collision.
A 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is being questioned by police.
'Huge hole'
Miss Fletchman was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary after the accident, but pronounced dead on arrival.
Her grandmother, Alison Graham, described her as a happy, outgoing girl who was planning to become a hairdresser.
"She had a lot of friends and was working hard to make something of her life," said Mrs Graham.
"She was a big part of my life and will leave a huge hole that will be hard to fill."
One woman was taken to North Manchester Hospital, a male and a female passenger were taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary while another male and female passenger were taken to Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport.
Kirkmanshulme Lane was closed between Scarcroft Road and Mount Road, and Mount Road was also closed between Stanley Grove and Hyde Road after the incident at 0430 GMT.
Greater Manchester Police said the road closures were later lifted.
