Man charged over house party rape

Detectives investigating the rape of a student in Manchester have charged a 22-year-old man.

Anthony Pryde, of Grosvenor Road, Whalley Range, was charged with two counts of rape by officers at Greater Manchester Police.

He appeared before Manchester magistrates on Thursday.

The charges follow an attack on a woman at a house party held overnight at a property on Wilmslow Road last Friday, police said.
