Woman charged over stabbing death

John Speakman suffered multiple stab wounds

Police have charged a woman over the murder of a 55-year-old man who was found stabbed to death at his home.

John Speakman was discovered with multiple stab wounds at his house in Marsh Green, Wigan, in June.

Sylvia Marsh, 53, of Hunter Road, Marsh Green, is charged with murder and perverting the course of justice.

She appeared before Wigan magistrates and was bailed. Two other local men have already been charged with Mr Speakman's murder.
