Lollipop woman dies in road crash
A lollipop woman has died after she was struck by a bus outside a primary school in Greater Manchester.

The woman, who is in her 30s, was injured near Seedley County Primary School on Liverpool Street, Salford.

Police were called to find her trapped under the wheels of the single decker bus, and she died at the scene.

It is thought the bus had been travelling in the direction of Manchester when it was in collision with the woman.

Police closed Liverpool Street between Langton Street and the Ashley Brook pub.

The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, which happened at about 1515 BST is being urged to contact police.
