Teenager rescued from cliff edge
A teenage boy has been rescued from a 100ft (30m) cliff edge in Greater Manchester by fire fighters.

Crews from Bolton were called to Thornham Drive in Astley Bridge on Wednesday afternoon following reports that a person was trapped on the ledge.

It is not clear how the 14-year-old ended up on the cliff but fire fighters managed to winch him down to safety using ropes.

The youngster was left shaken but unhurt following the incident.
