Two charged in rake assault case
Two people have been charged with assaulting a man who is seriously ill in hospital after being allegedly being attacked with a garden rake.

The 37-year-old suffered multiple puncture wounds in the incident at Yasmin Gardens in Oldham, Greater Manchester, on Thursday morning.

Ashrok Ali, 34, of Yasmin Gardens, Oldham and a 15-year-old boy have been charged with assault.

A woman who was arrested has been released on police bail.

Greater Manchester Police said the man was in a "serious, but stable" condition in Tameside General Hospital.
