Appeal to man over death in car
Susan Rushton
The last confirmed sighting of Susan Rushton was on Sunday
Police investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a car are trying to find a man who may have been the last person to see her alive.

Susan Rushton, 41, was found in a Vauxhall Corsa parked in the Springfield area of Wigan, Greater Manchester, on Tuesday.

Police say Ms Rushton was seen in the car with a man, although her death is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers say he is not a suspect, but may help them discover how she died.

Ms Rushton, who lived in Aspull, was seen in the car, parked at the end of Beresford Street, with the man on Monday afternoon.

More tests

Her body was found on Tuesday evening.

The last confirmed sighting of Ms Rushton was on Sunday night, so police believe the man was the last person to see her alive.

A post-mortem examination failed to establish the cause of death and further tests are being carried out.

The man seen inside the Corsa with Ms Rushton was white, in his early 20s, of medium build with short brown hair.
