Victims of double shooting named
Kally Gillingam and Joshua Thompson
Kally Gillingam was aged 15 and Joshua Thompson 18.
A 15-year-old girl and her 18-year-old ex-boyfriend who died in a double shooting in Greater Manchester have been named by police.

Kally Gilligan was found dead at a house in Orion Place, in the Lower Broughton area of Salford, on Saturday.

Joshua Thompson was also found with gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital but died later.

Greater Manchester Police said a murder investigation was taking place but no-one else was being hunted.

Kally's family described her as a "kind and considerate, beautiful, young lady".

'Much missed'

"She will be missed so much by mum, sisters, brothers, grandparents and dad," they said in a statement.

Joshua's family also released a statement, in which they said the 18-year-old was a "bright young man with a life ahead of him".

"The youngest of four, he had just passed his exams in college and was hoping to study for a diploma in sports science," they said.

"Our thoughts are with Kally's family. We can't imagine how you feel but we are so sorry for the loss of your lovely daughter as she was known to all our family."
