Bardsley on child cruelty charges

Lizzie Bardsley appeared on Channel Four's Wife Swap

Reality television participant Lizzie Bardsley has been charged with 10 counts of child cruelty.

The 32-year-old, of Hursted Road in Milnrow, Rochdale, Greater Manchester, appeared on Channel Four's Wife Swap.

She was arrested in connection with child cruelty last month after handing herself in to police voluntarily. She was charged on Monday.

Greater Manchester Police said Ms Bardsley is due to appear at Rochdale Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The charges relate to offences which are said to have taken place between 1996 and 2005.
