A time capsule has been buried at the Manchester United ground.

Sir Bobby Charlton did the honours to mark the opening of Manchester United's new, expanded 76,000-seater stadium.

The capsule contained a number of items of historic importance to the club, as well as memorabilia, photographs and audio commentary from key games.

A copy of Duncan Edwards' 1955 playing contract detailing his 15-a-week wages was also included, next to the players' bonus schedule for 2005-06.
