A doctor has been jailed for 14 months after crashing his car into two others while drink driving at almost 100mph.
Joydeep Roy left a woman with serious injuries in the crash after losing control of his Subaru Legacy while fleeing from police on 22 December.
The North Manchester General Hospital doctor was clocked at an average of 93mph in a 30mph zone.
Roy, 26, of Ducie Street, Manchester, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving with excess alcohol.
Manchester Crown Court heard that Roy was spotted racing along Oldham Road towards Miles Platting in the early hours of 22 December 2005.

Traffic officers began following him but rather than slow down, he was seen to accelerate.
He then lost control and he crashed into a taxi, before colliding with a Honda Civic at some traffic lights.
Roy was found to have more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system when arrested.
Anna Cheung, who was driving the Civic, suffered a broken pelvis and ribs, damage to her spleen and had endured mental problems since the incident, the court heard.
Judge Iain Hamilton, sentencing, said: "Because of your own stupid, selfish and reckless actions, not only have you ruined the life of Mrs Cheung but you have put your own entire career in jeopardy.
"I am told you no longer drink or drive.
"It is also very clear to me from the evidence I have read and heard that you express regret for your actions not only for yourself but also for Mrs Cheung.
"Despite very substantial personal mitigation on your behalf, the sad reality of this case is that if I do not impose a sentence of imprisonment I would be failing in my public duty."
Roy was given a 14-month jail term for dangerous driving and three months for drink driving, to serve concurrently.
The court heard that Roy had a previous conviction for drink-driving in 2001.
