Pensioner 'terrified' by robbers
An 85-year-old woman who broke a hip when she was robbed in the street has had to move to residential care as a result of the attack, police have said.

Greater Manchester Police said the pensioner has been left "terrified" after she was targeted by two men near her home in Chorlton.

The pair pushed her over and grabbed her handbag.

The attack happened before Christmas, but the woman has spent four weeks in hospital recovering.

Police said she is too afraid to return home and has been placed in temporary residential care. They are urging anyone with information about the robbery to come forward.

The attackers were both white, one was aged about 20, 5ft 8in tall, medium build with "bulging" eyes.

The robbery happened on Finney Drive, close to Crosslands Road, on the night of 13 December.
