Two bailed in baby murder inquiry

Two people arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a three-month-old baby in Manchester have been released on bail.

Police were called to reports of the unconscious child at a house in Maybury Street, Abbey Hey, on Monday.

The baby was taken to hospital by ambulance, but later died.

Greater Manchester Police said on Friday the 25-year-old man and 23-year-old woman had been bailed pending further inquiries.
