The funeral of football legend George Best is to be shown on the BBC big screen in Manchester city centre.
Thousands are expected to attend George Best's funeral
The Manchester United star, who had been ill with a serious lung infection, died in a London hospital on Friday.
Manchester United approached the BBC to screen the funeral in Exchange Square as it would be difficult to show it live at Old Trafford on a match day.
Up to 500,000 people are expected to attend his funeral at a special service at Stormont, Belfast, on Saturday.
It is expected to be one of the biggest funerals ever seen in Northern Ireland.
He is to be buried beside his mother, Ann, in the family plot in Roselawn cemetery.
The funeral cortege will leave the Best family home in the Cregagh area of east Belfast, before going on a three-mile route through east Belfast to Stormont.
