Jobless gardener rakes in £4.2m
Lottery winner Graham Everall with Elvis Presley lookalike Martin Fox
Graham Everall plans to get a passport and visit Graceland
A former gardener and lifelong Elvis fan who lost his job six months ago has won £4.2m on the lottery.

Graham Everall, 28, nicknamed "Chubby" by friends, scooped the prize after buying a ticket for Friday's EuroMillions competition on a whim.

The father-of-four from Greater Manchester won the Money Honey with two other punters sharing the cash prize after picking the same winning numbers.

Graham and wife Julie, 36, from Bolton, said they planned to buy a new house.

The couple spoke of the financial struggle to raise their children, Dean 14, Abbie, 10, Amy, six, and Tyler-John, three, in their three-bedroom home in Johnson Fold since Graham lost his job six months ago.

He said: "It was around 12.15 at night and I checked the numbers on teletext and there they were.

I was stunned and I stayed stunned until yesterday

"I went as white as a ghost. I couldn't believe it."

Mr Everall, a keen Bolton Wanderers football fan, was presented with his cheque at his beloved team's Reebok Stadium.

Wife Julie said: "I thought it was a joke. I was stunned and I stayed stunned until yesterday."

Mr Everall only bought the ticket at the last minute after deciding to pop into his local post office to buy newspapers.

The couple plan to buy a house and a new car for Julie if she passes her driving test next week.

Graham also said he hoped to get a passport and visit Graceland, the home of his singing idol.
