Man charged over Kilroy 'attack'
Robert Kilroy-Silk, MEP
Mr Kilroy-Silk has recently left the UK Independence Party
A man has been charged in connection with an incident in which farm manure was thrown over Robert Kilroy-Silk.

The former MP and current MEP was targeted outside Manchester High School for Girls last month as he prepared for a BBC Radio 4 show.

David McGrath, 37, of Altrincham Road, Wilmslow, has been charged with three counts of criminal damage and a public order offence.

He is due to appear before Manchester magistrates on 3 February.

Mr Kilroy-Silk, who recently quit the UK Independence Party, was about to take part in the BBC's Any Questions? programme when the incident happened.
