A pet cat started a fire in Manchester when it managed to turn on an electric cooker by mistake.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called to deal with a blaze at a house on Ascot Road in Newton Heath.
A pot left on the cooker had caught light, but the fire had been put out by the time firefighters arrived.
A spokesman for the fire service said a cat was responsible for starting the fire on Sunday morning.
