Johnny Adair indicated he would deny the charges
Loyalist Johnny Adair and another man were remanded in custody by Bolton magistrates in Greater Manchester on Thursday accused of harassment.

Mr Adair, 41, of Chorley New Road, Horwich, and William Woods, 37, of Halliwell Road, Bolton, are charged in connection with an incident on Monday.

Mr Adair faced one charge while Mr Woods faced two counts of harassment and one charge of common assault.

Both men indicated they would be denying the charges.

Mr Adair is accused of pursuing a course of conduct leading to the harassment of Stephen McQuaid and Kerry Thompson.

The incident is alleged to have taken place outside a launderette in Halliwell Road, Bolton.

Mr Woods is also charged in connection with the same incident.

They were remanded until 25 August.
