Fleetwood Pier goes up for sale
Fleetwood Pier
The jetty extends into the Wyre estuary
Fleetwood Pier has been put up for sale at auction with a 1.3m price tag.

The pier was built in 1906 and comes complete with five bars, a nightclub, a fish and chip shop and a 100m jetty that reaches into the Wyre estuary.

London-based auction house Allsop and Co said the property goes under the hammer on 6 July, and there has already been a lot of interest from buyers.

The pier is currently let by Benny Vista Leisure Ltd, who intend to keep their lease when the pier is sold.

Although smaller than the piers in neighbouring Blackpool, the Fleetwood boardwalk is a landmark for sailors and tourists in the area.
