A man who suffered a suspected heart attack after he was robbed has died.
Mr Barlow had his fishing tackle stolen just before the crash
Thomas Barlow, 74, from Duchy in Salford, Greater Manchester, was found collapsed at the wheel of his car in the early hours of Sunday.
Police believe he had a heart attack just before his car collided with a lamppost on Derby Road. He was taken to Hope Hospital where he died on Tuesday.
Mr Barlow had reported his fishing tackle stolen 10 minutes earlier, as he waited for a lift on Liverpool Street.
Greater Manchester Police say they are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Thursday to establish how he died.
A 16-year-old boy from Seedley, who was arrested in connection with the theft, has been released on bail by police.
