Missing woman's bag found in park
Melody Ogara
Police say Melody's disappearance is "out of character"
Concern is growing for a British woman, missing in Australia, after her bag was found in a city park.

Melody Ogara, from Bolton, Greater Manchester disappeared last Sunday morning, New South Wales Police said.

The 28-year-old had been staying at a friend's house in the Bondi area of Sydney when she went missing.

She failed to catch booked flights to Melbourne on Monday and Singapore two days later, officers said. Her bag was found in the Bondi park on Thursday.

Ms Ogara had told her friend she was going to sleep on the sofa in the living room at the house, but has not been seen since.

No contact

She had been living in the King's Cross area of Sydney and originally travelled to Australia on a working visa, in February.

As well as missing the flights, Ms Ogara has not been in contact with her flatmates in Kings Cross.

Her disappearance has been described as "out of character" by police.

Ms Ogara is described as being petite with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans.
