Overturned lorry blocks M62 link

Part of the M62 was closed on Wednesday after a lorry overturned on a stretch of the hard shoulder.

The lorry blocked the carriageway on the link road from the M60 anti-clockwise to the westbound M62 at Eccles, Greater Manchester, at 1.30pm.

Traffic was being diverted and police said the road was expected to remain closed for several hours.

Drivers are being directed onto the eastbound M602 where they can rejoin the M62 at Gildabrook junction.
