The snooker player Jimmy White has been cautioned by police in Preston, for the possession of cocaine.
White was in the city to play an exhibition match
The 42-year-old was arrested at the city's Holiday Inn in February, after staff became concerned about the behaviour of some guests.
Mr White and another man answered bail at Preston police station on Friday and have both been cautioned.
Mr White had been in Preston to play an exhibition match with Alex Higgins at the Guildhall.
Following his arrest on 17 February, the player, originally from south west London, had denied doing anything wrong.
A statement from his promoter had said: "Jimmy White would in no way jeopardise his career, or be involved in any activity whatsoever that may bring the sport of snooker into disrepute."
