Teenager jailed for beating man
A teenager attacked a man with learning difficulties after a teenage girl wrongly accused the man of being a paedophile, a court has heard.

Glynn Davies, 45, needed two months in intensive care after being attacked in May, Preston Crown Court heard.

Gary Delves, 18, of Norris Road, Upholland, near Wigan, admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent and was given four years youth custody.

The prosecution said it was an unprovoked, vicious and cruel attack.

The court heard how Davies punched his victim in the face, and kicked and jumped on him.
