A man has died after a car crashed as it was being followed by police in Greater Manchester.
An officer started to follow the car at about 2300 BST on Tuesday after it drove past a patrol car on Birdhall Lane, Cheadle Hulme, at speed.
The white Peugeot failed to stop and as the officer drove around a bend he saw the car had collided with a telegraph pole.
The 25-year-old driver from Adswood was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and a 16-year-old boy suffered cuts and bruises in the accident.
The incident has referred to the Police Complaints Authority.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested by police in connection with the crash.
